To Whom It May Concern June 13th 2011

Susan Carew

I have known Susan for many years and have been highly impressed by her international work for peace through her theatrical – usually clowning – skills as displayed in workshops in many parts of the world. Susan conducts these international tours and workshops almost entirely at her own expense. She is conscientious, totally reliable and unselfish in the extreme.

In her recent proposals to work across Australia, her role would involve peace education, including her well established understanding of and commitment to environmental sustainability. Susan’s attractive and engaging role as a ‘peace clown’ also enables her to address questions of bullying and, in the interests of a just peace, to explain the non violent and life enhancing alternatives.

Susan’s work has a particular relevance for school children of all ages, whatever their ethnic or religious backgrounds. In fact this performer/educator’s very cosmopolitanism should endear her to diverse audiences and to various schools and related context. I wish her well in her latest projects and sincerely hope that she will receive appropriate financial support and encouragement.

Yours sincerely,
