A Fool for Peace manuscript
This book is called A Fool for Peace.
Susan Carew (Holmes) dreamed she was teaching pace in 1998. This opened up a path she never expected. Like the Fool she found herself taking steps into uncertainty to discover that from nothing something comes.
Susan studied Peace at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia, this was one of the few peace programs in Australia, her lecturer, Dr Tom Weber one of the foremost Gandhian Scholars in the world. She was invited to Russia by Patch Adams brother Wildman. A mysterious sponsor paid for her trip. She was to meet 40 clowns from across the world. The clowns visited children in orphanages, the elderly in nursing homes and on the streets amongst many other sites. She was given a peace symbol on this trip which was a omen for where she was to go. On her return she wrote the REAL HOPES Peace, Nonviolence and Antibullying Program for primary/elementary aged children. She started her own radio program ‘Bridges to Peace’ and interviewed famous individuals who had made a difference. She was invited by Rotary to participate on the Peace and Conflict Studies Program in Bangkok, Thailand. She travelled with Humanitarian clowns to India and visited some of the most disadvantaged children and adults. She has been invited to Nepal to teach Cultures of Peace by Rotary. She has travelled Australia teaching peace and much much more.
The Fool is the one who trusts, steps out and sees what happens. The fool has the Fool’s Gold inside a little pouch, this is the real gold inside everyONE. The Fool laughs with life and learns to smile at change. The Fool’s journey is about finding the inner truth and peace inside. The Fool realises that World Peace is an inside job. When you change the world changes. Perhaps that is why Mahatma Gandhi said ‘be the change you wish the world to see’. You must change before our world will change. It all starts with you. Perhaps this Fool’s journey inspires you to find your own, everyone has a purpose. Imagine living on purpose!
